This station was installed in the framework of the FWF project P 16113 in July 2007 at Paria on the west side of Cordelliera Blanca in Peru at an altitude of 4450 m a.s.l. to investigate the glacier climate interaction. The station operated until 07/2011 and was visited several times by the team around project leader Georg Kaser (ACINN, former Innsbruck Tropical Glaciology Group at the Institute of Geographie).

Station History
- 07/2007: station installed on the west side of the Cordillera Blanca in Paria
- 07/2011: station extented to a full AWS and equiped with an iridum sattelite telemtry (station Paria-telemetry)
